I've had an old-school palm for what seems like forever. It's time to get a new one. I wold like it to do everythiung the old Palm does (contacts, schedule, expenses) as well as have the ability to play mp3s and video files. I do not want to spend upwards of $500 for one of these things, but from what I have seen $200-$250 should do the job. Also, I am not married to the Palm OS at all. I don;t mind it either.

The ones I am considering (as well as the best price I have found):

Palm Tungsten E $169
Palm Zire 72 $249
HP iPAQ rz1715 $199
Dell Axiom X30 $199
Dell Axiom X50 $254

ANyone have any thoughts regarding these models and where the most bang for my buck lies? Thanks in advance.

Go with a Pocket PC. Once you've used it, you'll never go back to Palm OS.

As far as brands, I've heard that Axims and iPaq's are good. I have a Toshiba and I like it as well. Look atThe Link and be sure to consider the user reviews. Anything with a user thumbs-up rating of 70% or better is usually a pretty good product.
