PC Doctor?

Anyone know of a reputable local guy (Austin) who can diagnose / fix a PC issue? I'd prefer to stay away from the GeekSquad, Computer Nerds, etc.

Thanks.

What's wrong with it? Some other folks on here have gotten good results just by posting their computer problem(s).

Used to be able to do so, but now I can't access StreamAudio stations. I need this access (talk format stations) as part of my job responsibilities.

I can get other audio on my PC (tried ESPN radio, YouTube, etc.) but not StreamAudio stations. So I have sound, but the sound I need.

Tried clearing all internet temp files and cookies. No luck.

Thanks. I don't what the hell that was you sent me.

Codecs are scripts and programs media players use to work.

The simplest fix you could try is to uninstall and reinstall your media player(s) with the latest ones.

What OS and browser are you using? Try clearing your cache.

Actually, read the FAQ HERE and see if you can resolve the problem by following their suggestions.

Thanks. Yeah, I went through their list of suggestions, cleared all temp files, cache, etc. Been trying to get StreamAudio support to respond, but they must have a tiny staff or something.

If you're using Firefox, go and check your permissions, maybe something is set to "forbid" that shouldn't.

Thanks for your diligence. I actually run it off of IE, but tried Foxfire as well to no avail.

I'd gladly plop down the $100 for a PC guy to take a look at this and try to fix it. If anyone can recommend a guy I'd appreciate it.
