Pavestones for retaining wall

So, long story short, I have had an issue with people stealing pavestones out of my front yard (I built a 4 brick high retaining wall in the front of my house). Last week I had three stolen and while I was at Home Depot today to replace the 3, I came home and there were 16 additional pavers stolen (in broad daylight on 4th of July). I replaced those and the guy at HD told me to put Liquid Nail on them to keep them in place. I did this and they seem secure, but if someone wants to steal them they probably could (just have to try a little harder).

Does anyone else have any thoughts, suggestions, or anything else on how to protect my pavers (other than watching out my front window 24 hours a day)? I know this is a long shot, but I figure Hornfans has always been pretty helpful, so I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Your tale pisses me off. I hate thieves.

Is there any structure near the retaining wall? Is this a typical subdivision where you have a lot of neighbors nearby, or is there more room between the houses? Give us the lay of the land.

I like the fake camera idea, although it may be a bit hard to place it so that the thieves will see it. I live in Lakewood in Dallas (if any of you are familiar with that area). So there are lots of neighbors nearby. The retaining wall is at the very front of my property and covers the entire length of the front sidewalk. The west side of my property has several trees so my neighbors view is blocked from seeing my house and the front yard. My east side has my driveway and my east side neighbor rents her house out and it is currently vacant. My neighbor across the street is currently flipping the house and it looks like he is having financial problems because I have not seen him in over two months. The retaining wall itself is four bricks high. I have two front windows, but this has occurred at times when I was either asleep or out of the house. They steal the bricks from the west side (where the trees block my neighbors view). That is a bit of the lay of the land. I will contact my neighborhood crime watch people (we do not have an association per se), but not sure there is much they can do. Any additional thoughts are certainly appreciated.

How close are the trees to the retaining wall? Could you mount a battery-operated game camera in one?

Then maybe post a couple of signs:

I was also thinking about shards of glass glued to the back of the stones, but you probably don't want to piss them off.

Nothing is out of the question. The shards of glass could be a possible idea. At that point, would they really be pissed at me? They are the idiots trying to steal the stones, so they should get everything coming to them.

The real camera could probably fit in the trees (they are fairly close to the wall). I just don't know where that gets me. The cops in Dallas have other things to be concerned about, so I am not sure they would give a sh*t about my stones. It could give me an idea of when they are coming to get the stones, but like I said, one time it was in the middle of the night and the other time it was around 9am on the 4th of July (a Saturday).

I think the signs with the fake camera may be the best (and most cost effective) way to go at this point. Any idea where to get the signs (any home improvement store or something like that)?

Those sign images are from Amazon.com.

The camera would give you an image that you could post on telephone polls in the area, which might scare them off.

Combined with the signs/fake cameras, they might believe it was a screen capture.
