so, for starters, I will state the obvious; she is bat **** crazy.

Having said that, the story is she goes to "dancing with the stars" now that she's left american idol.

Personally I think that works, because i suppose she's a somewhat decent dancer, and I know that she is the worst ******* singer imaginable.

Her records represent exactly what destroyed the record industry-- style over substance. The fact that she, of all people, was allowed to sit in judgement of other singers... the irony and injustice is overwhelming. Paula Abdul telling a contestant, "It was a little pitchy" is hypocritical somewhere on the same level as a "family values" minister being caught in a hotel room with a gay prostitute and a Hefty bag of cocaine.

The other huge irony of American Idol is that for the most part, Americans have chosen "idols" who couldn't possibly have gotten a record contract through traditional means. The winners have been overweight, prematurely gray, unattractive, etc. But they can sing. What an amazing concept-- that singers should be able to sing. The rest of it shouldn't really matter.
