Patricia Neal RIP

Unique voice and presence as an actress. When I was a kid, I didn't get it about her. As I've aged, I get it. Hud is one of my favorite movies.

Rest in peace.

ps Another great film she made was A Face in the Crowd with Andy Griffith, Tony Francioso and Walter Mathau. Make a great double feature with Network as two movies that are prophetic about the media.

She also had a different take on Olivia Walton, when she played her in "The Homecoming". Her Ma Walton was feisty and salty, not saintly as Michael Learned partrayed her. One of my absolute favorite holiday movies.

Both The Day The Earth Stood Still and Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Wow.

RIP Ms. Neal. You've earned it.

A fine actress.

"Hud" with Paul Newman, directed by Martin Ritt.

"Breakfast At Tiffany's" with Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, directed by Blake Edwards.

"The Day The Earth Stood Still" with Michael Rennie, drected by Robert Wise were already mentioned.

And I'll list, "The Fountainhead" with Gary Cooper, directed by King Vidor.

"A Face In The Crowd" with Andy Griffth, directed by Elia Kazan.

"In Harm's Way" with John Wayne and Kirk Doudlas, directed by Otto Preminger.

"Bright Leaf" with Gary Cooper, directed by Michael Curtiz.

"The Subject Was Roses" with Jack Albertson and Martin Sheen.

"Operation Pacific" with John Wayne.

She could certainly hold her own on the screen, co-starring in good movies, working with the big names and the best directors.
