He may have faltered some down the stretch, but in his prime at CBS and Fox he was one of the best and you knew it was usually a big game if he was involved back then.

I am a sports nut, but always looked forward to Summerall and Brookshier's NFL recap on Saturday mornings--guess I watched this instead of cartoons in the early 70's

That Summerall and Brookshier team was one of the best. It seemed like they were always doing the Cowboys broadcasts back then.
