Pat Knight is currently on the air in Lubbock doing his weekly radio show. He said his dad was just really tired and felt it would be best if he just stepped down. He said Bob was thinking of retiring before the year started but didnt want people to think that he had stayed in coaching just to get the all-time wins record, so he came back this year.

Pat said that the elder Knight has just pushed himself too hard and his health is not what it used to be.

It's amazing to me college althetic departments allow themselves to get into the coach's kid rollover.

I recall Eddie's kid sweating and slobbering all over the courtside next to Eddie. I don't recall Bobby's kid but assume he was around during games.

I'm sure the sandag fans hope he works out better than Eddie's kid.
