Passing of another Film legend, Bill Fraker

Most of you have probably never heard of him, but William Fraker was one of the greatest cinematographer's ever, having shot some of the biggest movies of all time. Close Encounters, Rosemary's Baby, One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest, and to add a Texas flavor, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, to name a few.

I have not seen it on the newswires, just heard it through a friend, but evidently he's passed away. For the last decade plus, he's worked as a professor at USC's film school, which is how I met him. One of the nicest, most un-assuming people ever considering what he's worked on and who he's worked with. For me, this is right up there with the passing of Dennis Hopper.

Filmography

I congratulate him on quite a life, but when you get up there to an octogenarian's age it's probably about time to trade in the vehicle.

May he rest in peace.

he also did "Tombstone" and "Bullitt".
should've won an Oscar for the car chase in "Bullitt" alone.

RIP
