Passed my A+ exam

I passed without even studying. My work people said I needed an industry certification. So I do now. I took the day off to take it; sick day. I bought a 6er from specs as soon as it opened. I hope to be back to normal by the time the GF comes home. YA!

How did you do on the older Tech stuff. I took that test a few years ago, the new stuff I wizzed through, but any outdated equipment questions just killed me.

The DOS stuff is ridiculous.

No DOS stuff, but there were 2 questions about the ieee standard of a serial cable. I had no idea.

I got stuck on alot of the old cable versions on networking too.

I took mine just before USB & ethernet cables became pretty much stardard, so there were a whole bunch of questions on serial cables, and which cable do you use for what device crap.

Does anyone even make devices that use "serial" cables, or parallell cables? I think the last I've seen are some gps units that used serial.

Where did you take the test? I've been wanting to get A+ certified myself. How much did it cost?

Lots of communities offer it. I can't remember the costs. But go to compTIA.com. They should have all the info there
