Paris-Rome-Athens-Cairo

Leaving on June 2nd and returning on June 11th.

I have never been to Europe but will be going to check it out with my girlfriend.

Will be spending 2 nights at each location with quick flights in between each stop.

I definitely understand that 2 nights at a couple of these locations is not enough, but I want to see where to stay longer the next trip.

I have already booked airport transfers and tours at each stop . . .

- Dinner cruise on Seine River
- Night tour of Paris
- Day tour of Paris
- Day tour of Rome
- Day tour of the Vatican
- Day tour of Athens
- Dinner cruise on the Nile
- Day tour of the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Angelinas in Paris for chocolates, Campo di Fiori for porchetta and a beer in Rome. Can't go wrong with either of those. Go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris for the best pictures, top of Spanish Steps for good pictures of Rome.

if you are going to the vatican, be sure to check the schedule of the sistine chapel. I got there and it had closed fairly early in the afternoon.

some of my favorite famous sites in Rome:
Constantine Arch
the Colosseum
viewing the old artifacts from the top of palitine hill
Pantheon- very cool. go to the middle of it and look up. one of the first domed buildings of such a scale.

This is pretty cool too: Trajan's column.(tell s the story of victorious battle vs Dacia.

I was there in 1999. They were prepping for the Pope, y2k, so everything had scaffolding on it. Still it was awesome.

A shocking amount of grafitti though.

As you go through Rome, pay attention to the carvings, the relief sculpture, on just about all of the ancient buildings, etc. Truly amazing.

UT you got it! That pork sandwich with the crusty fat on top is really good. The only better one I have eaten was in the Viktualmarkt in Munich. Sit, eat, drink...
