Parcells going after pick #17 from KC?

Since KC just traded away Allen and got Minnesota's pick at #17, I was wondering if Parcells is trying to make a move for that pick in part of trade for Jason Taylor.

KC now has a need for DE and Miami has one they are willing to spare. Plus Miami seems to want to get into the 1st round again.

Taylor turns 34 this September and has played 11 seasons.

If this were to happen who do you think Miami would be after in the 1st round with that #17 pick? If KC did make this trade they would have to go QB with their 1st pick. Parcells had to figure Ryan would be taken by either KC (with 1st or 2nd pick) and that Atl or Baltimore would take Flacco (IMO). No other team after #17 would likely go QB in the 1st round....well unless somebody jumped Miami in a trade.
 
The Dolphins are in need of a CB and/or WR so they could be looking at getting back in for one of those who they feel may not be around at #32 when their pick is up in the 2nd Round. I'd say they'd have to feel pretty strongly about that player to get back into the 1st Round again.

I really don't think they can get a 1st Rounder out of Jason Taylor. He's already got one foot out the door. If they could pull that off then they REALLY suckered someone.
 
I'm guessing KC would also get a pick along with Taylor? Not sure why they would give up the #17 pick for an old DE when at #5, a DE will more than likely be the bpa available.
 
If Parcells can wangle a first rounder for Jason Taylor then we'll know he slipped some Rohypnol or other date rape drug into the KC draft room.
 
why would kc go after a guy that will only be able to help them for another year or two? they're a long ways off from being real contenders again (at least a year or two). Why not use that draft pick on someone that will be able to help you just as you're starting to get experienced players and are coming together?

Taylor really only makes sense for a team that's right on the verge of competing for a super bowl and needs more pass rush (of course, who doesn't?).
