PAIN

Yes. So tired of working our asses off and then coming up second in these games. But anyway, great year...should be a #2 seed...we move on (and hopefully learn a few things).

HOOKEM

I'd take heart- KU usually follows up unbeatable play in the conference tourney with beatable play in the big dance. In Rick we trust!

We are the Buffalo Bills of the Big XII tournament.

Bills

In Rick We Trust, were ready for the tourney, should be #5 on the s curve, always tough to play on the road against KU, but we played really hard today, even with their 15 3s we were in it until the very end

HOOK EM

I've always wondered if he thought the "road-kill" was unknown to the rest of the world?

HOOKEM!

Exceeded expectations all year long, now let's have some magic in the NCAA Tourney!

IIRC, our final four team w/ TJ lost in the second round of the big12 tourney against tech. It is obvious that Barnes doesn't take these things very seriously, hence the nonstop zone D to finish the game.

I believe we can still catch fire like we did in february and make a deep run in the dance.

I'd say the better Buffalo Bills analogy would be Ohio State. 2nd place the last 2 BCS games and in the Big Dance last year. It would be tougher finishing 2nd in the dance a couple years in a row than in the Big 12...but funny analogy.

I think if both UT and KU play as well in the tourney as they did today, we'll meet in the F4. No matter which regional we end up in.

What pain? I am sitting here rejoicing that we got our main wish, a #2 seed in Houston.

Did you see that crowd? It was like we were playing @ Kansas. If you expected to win that game, you are delusional. KU was nailing three after three and we still didn't back down. That was a sensational performance by both teams, and there's no reason to feel down about that game.

I don't feel bad about the game at all. Kansas shot out of their minds and they were essentially playing on their home floor. The two teams were evenly matched all game until Kansas pulled away late. I am a little aggravated, though, that Texas keeps losing these close games. We need to learn to win the close ones.

If memory serves, the Kansas game wasn't that close. They closed the gap at the end. Texas has lost more than it's fair share of close games, especially to Kansas.

We beat them when we play in Austin and they beat us in Lawrence. You could see this one coming. It was a home game for them. I love our seed and our bracket. I will take things just like they are a be happy.

The great teams are supposed to win the majority of their close games--not just half. which is what Texas has won this year. And the close wins over UCLA and Baylor were only close because we collapsed down the stretch and gave up a big lead late in the game. This team has done a lot of things well and exceeded expectations, but I don't see how any objective person can think they've excelled in the end game this season or the past few seasons against Kansas. We've definitely lost more than our fair share of close games.

Nothing to be ashamed of. That was a heck of a game until about the last 4 minutes. Kansas depth finally wore us down a little. Johnson didn't play and that helped KU definitely have more depth. We will be alright especially if Johnson is back next weekend. Our guys gave it their all. My hat is off to them!
I think we got a good seed/location/and total bracket. We just need to play up to our ability and I think SA is in sight.
