Word is that Bob Cole returns as the P.A. announcer. I really hope they retire all that fake clapping **** and other "music" and that gawd damned thing everytime we get 3 balls ...........arggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

The guy's clownish announcing voice drove me insane. Many times when I was really looking forward to a game my enthusiasm was thoroughly extinguished as soon as I got within earshot of him coming over the PA system.

Use of "Baseball Sound Effects, Volume 1" CD, however, dates back to the middle of the 2005 season. I'm not yet hopeful it will be eliminated.

Maybe we should initiate a campaign against it.
