Has anyone tried the Crawfish Shack & Oyster Bar in Wells Branch? Any other suggestions up North?

I can't answer your specific question, but I had some very good oysters at Pappadeaux's in Houston.

They were also only $3.95/dozen and shucked to order. Hard to beat.

Very clean tasting. I would highly recommend them and I see that there's a Pappadeaux's on I-35 between 290 and 183.

Pappadeaux's is some good eats that's for sure. I am just really hesitant on trying new places for seafood, especially raw seafood. I am looking for a place this weekend and may end up trying it. I'll report back if I do.

Another vote for Pacific Star on 79 - their oysters are always good, and their gumbo is delicious.

I've eaten there and yes it's good. I live on Wells Branch Pkwy and my address says "Austin, Texas", not RR or P'ville. P'ville Is on the other side of IH-35 from Wells Branch.
