Re Geno handpicking Coach Coale for the OU job, that's a bit of a stretch, right? I understand that he gave her a very good recommendation, but handpicking? That's hard to believe.

After UConn only beat St. John's by like 14 points in their most recent game, I get the feeling they will punish OU tonight. 30 point win on the road seems about right . . .

I bow down to him. Before OU hired Sherri, it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that the women's team was going to be discontinued. That would have been devastating for a state that holds women's basketball in such high regard not to mention the Title IX implications.

Abby is overmatched but isn't backing down. I am as proud of her as any Sooner athlete in recent memory.
Plus, the place is full. I wish we could fill it for a men's game now and then.

yep, an inability to hit those outside shots has hurt the Sooners. You do have to think that Hand would have nailed a few of those. UConn is really getting in the face of Carlee, denying her any open looks. Hand would have helped dilute that kind of attention.

Basketball is a game of match-ups. TX lost badly to CT early in the season, but beat this same OU team on the same floor by more than CT. Looking forward to sweeping the Sooners. Go Geno, Go Gail! Hate the poodle-do and her smug fans. Would have preferred CT to have won by 30, but 16 will do! And Maya Moore is my favorite player since Stacy Stephens. Hope the Horns blowout KSU on Wednesday, and while Nebraska is basically uncatchable, I like TX's chances to win the Big 12 tournament. Hook 'em etc!!!
