I always thought that the summer camps were a way for coaches to make extra money. I wonder if perhaps the camps were interfering with travel to summer tournaments to view the top players across the country.

Wow, no immediate impact but in 2-3 years I really look for this to negatively affect their recruiting. Unfortunate turn of events for the sooners, hopefully budgets don't negatively the program in any other way.

Interesting dialogue on the OU boards...unless other major programs are doing it as well, something is definitely up. Finances as a reason? Didn't OU just score a television deal with Fox Sports, albeit their package is dwarfed by the Texas-ESPN agreement.
