OU Starting OL Arrested

Loadholt. DUI...at 4:40 PM. Also, this is not the first time he has been arrested.

I'm not going to pile on too much given the problems we had last year. However, last summer when we had guys get DUI's, they got 3-game suspensions (and they had never been in trouble before). Let's see what ole Bobby does. Loadholt misses 1 game (max) against a crap team is my prediction.

DUI at 4 in the afternoon, huh? Sounds like a bunch of my friends. Of course, they don't play D-1 football at a Major program. They do live in a trailer park though, so that fits.

I hope he's drunk at 11AM on Oct 11th.

'suspicion of DUI and for allegedly transporting an open container of alcohol'

First of all, not excusing the behavior, but he's innocent until proving guilty. But, based on the language, it could be as minimal as having an open beer in the car. Probably not the smartest move, but I suspect many college students have done far worst.

I hope the kid learns a lesson from the experience. And, I hope he has a worse experience containing our DE on Oct. 11th.

Dumb move and as said above, innocent till proven guilty. I find the shoplifting incident to be much more heinous for many reasons to include downright idiocy. I mean, who in their right minds on a bowl game trip jacks a coat from a discount store? Oh yeah, a dumbass.

Hey, it gets cold in the desert. Not as cold as Norman in the plains but, okay, nevermind. He had a jacket, could have used a team sweatshirt or borrow a jacket if he forgot one, something. But maybe he is a clepto? Poor thieving thief...of land.

The early word is he will be suspended 2 games, but that isn't official.

Dumb move on Phil's part. Luckily, depth at OT isn't an issue this year.

a guy that size must have had a couple of cases to get tipsy. i bet big red is pissed that he would be operating one of their vehicles under the influence.

When he was coaching Coach Royal would have Willie Nelson and other Country Music stars play the guitar and sing for some of the UT players and their dates. This kept them out of trouble and he and his wife were able to keep an eye on them. I remember Coach Switzer once said "Some coaches would rather listen to guitar players than work."
There is little doubt that he was referring to Coach Royal. Of course in few of the trouble that Coach Switzer had especially in the late 80s maybe he should have had his players over at his house listening to guitar players. Ironic how things sometimes work out isn't it?

I know what the article said, i was just commenting on OK beer. Any of you math majors want to calculate how many beers a person that size would have to drink to get a DWI (not DUI) in OK? That is one big dude.

According to the report, Phil had two false starts trying to get his wallet out of his pocket.

OU has a lot of depth on the O-line, so his suspension shouldn't have much of an effect on the team's performance. It might actually decrease their penalty yardage.

Are you sure OUE? One had already left for the marines. Also, how much drop off from No.1 to No.2. I don't think the 2's got to play all that much last year.

Texas Jack - Just my reading of it but I took 'suspicion of DUI' as perhaps something different than arrested for DUI. Maybe that's just the way they language it until the conviction. Anyways, I was just trying to give him the benefit of doubt like we often do for our own players.
