OU sleepwalks

I keep telling people ou is a one man team but they respond about how much better the same guys they had last year are this year. I don't see it

OU's biggest concern right now is probably the outside shooting of Crocker, Johnson and Warren, who are a combined 11 for 51 behind the arc in three games. Crocker shot 42.4% last year, but is only 3-19 this year.

Two things:

1) Crocker has a proven track record as a good perimeter shooter. He has gotten out of the gate slowly, but I expect him to come around.

2) Cade Davis has become a reliable perimeter threat. He didn't play in this game versus Gardner-Webb.

I don't think our shooting will be leaps and bounds better than '07, but I feel confident it will show improvement, especially as Crocker gets into a groove.

KU was impressive last night against Washington. Right now I like them better than OU, when I didn't think that way going into the season.

OU's shooting can get better. It's their ballhandling I'm not a big fan of. That, and their dependence on Griffin. Foul trouble or injury spells doom for the Sooners against a good opponent, and a pressure defense --- for example the kind that Texas is playing this year --- has the potential to make mincemeat out of a backcourt of Warren, Crocker, and Johnson. Throw Davis in there, and it gets worse.

I do think OU is going to be a very good team, though. Just not the conference champion.
