They said you'll never hear barnes badmouth another program, but my all time favorite rick barnes moment has to be when he told off arkansas fans a few years back.

Rick barnes fits texas basketball like a glove. It'd be an honor for him to retire at texas. Retiring at a program is the highest compliment a coach can give a school.

Barnes is a class act. There is no reason for any fan base to dislike him IMO.

I am glad that he is finally seeminlgly getting the respect he deserves. Guys like Bruce Pearl seem to get all the attention these days. ESPN announcers were all over that guy from A&M that went to Kentucky and then was flushed out. But Barnes is far better than both and will be in the college basketball HOF one day. Hey does he have a statue yet?

My hope is that, one day, people talk about Rick Barnes and UT basketball the way they talk about DKR and UT football.

I hear older posters talk about Lemons, but he didn't put us on the map like Barnes did. Lemons sounds to me more like the basketball equivalent of D.X. Bible - someone who laid the foundation for Barnes to build upon and put us on the map.
