What an interesting conference race is developing. I had to look at the standings twice to believe my eyes.The Link

If someone had the foresight to bet that nine games into the conference schedule Texas would have more wins than Baylor and Oklahoma State combined,, the could have won a lot of money.

We could easily lose 4 of our next 5, but after the kansas win, the sky is the limit.

I really felt like we got a little lucky in our game with WVa. They were missing a lot of shots that they normally hit, and we pulled out out despite some really sloppy play. They're definitely a tough out... but then, there aren't many games in the Big XII that aren't.

I just think it all goes back to the players buying into Barnes style of defense. The Horns have smothered a lot of these teams with great defense, even on the road. That said, the second half of the schedule will be a huge test for this young team. They definitely need Jevan back at full speed, too.

You guys realize the difficulty the Land Thieves had getting to WVa...they had to land in Indiana due to the weather and only arrived at the fieldhouse 90 minutes before game time. Luckily they still got beat in OT.
