Well... Texas did get the two best players out of Oklahoma the past 2 years. I guess with a track record of respecting the talent pool to the south... a kid in Oklahoma might be a bit offended and thus not want to go to Big Red Motors Football Club.

Hey horn123 I wonder the same thing about Oklahoma State who has mostly Texas recruits. Also what about Tulsa? Is the talent in Oklahoma that low? I know we have many more players but Oklahoma is big enough to have some good players. Or are the coaches and players mad at the Oklahoma colleges for not picking them that they are going out of state. I knew that they went for Texas players but this large ratio difference is ridiculous or at least it seems like it would be to me if I were an Oklahoma HS coach.

its a divison(of the old big 12)which Texas finished behind ou for most of its existence.
It you a hard time remembering all those second place finishes....just as mack brown to show you his ring collection, its forged in gold to celebrate the "almost " championship seasons.

Actually, I think OU took 2 from Oklahoma this year, an OL from Duncan and Kendal Thompson, a quarterback from Moore who is son of former OU quarterback Charles Thompson. OSU pulled in three Oklahoma kids, same as Kansas State. Texas, Mo, UNT and TTech all took one.
Texas has a big edge in population and we have terrific high school facilities and coaches. Texas has roughly 24.5 million people, compared to 3.5 million in Oklahoma. I'm guessing more Texans live within 200 miles of Norman than Oklahomans.
