Few times I've been more happy to be wrong. Usually they pull some Sooner Magic in a game like this but not today.

UNC is very good. This one is not surprising. I think we cost OU a final 4 bid when BG got hurt. There are not a lot of teams that were going to beat OU. He's a beast.

UNC was the better team, plain and simple. I was shocked we played so well versus 'Cuse, but today proves what has been true all season:

Our guards are only consistent at being inconsistent.

Crocker can 'go off' one game and disappear the next. Same holds true for AJ.

There's one small positive I take from this game. There is ZERO debate about who the better player is between Blake and Tyler Hansbrough. LMAO. Digger Phelps thought TH would get the best of BG. Yea, right. TH was so thoroughly outclassed in this game, it wasn't even funny.

Alas, '08 is done. Good season, Sooners. Great season, Blake.

"Crocker can 'go off' one game and disappear the next. Same holds true for AJ." _________________________________________________________________________________ Though that is true for any long range shooter, It's not hardly fair to compare those two without pointing out Crocker disappears most games when defense is focused on Griffin leaving outside shots too be had. AJ hadn't seen an open look since his soph season. Most teams knew not to let him have a shot and at his size he has trouble creating of the dribble anything high percentage.

I was impressed with OU this year. I thought guard play would be a weakness --- and it was, relatively speaking. Still, they came through enough to earn a #2 seed, give Kansas a run for the league title, and make it to the Elite Eight.

That's an impressive season.

Now OU needs to work on keeping Jeff Capel. His name is being brought up WAY too often for coaching searches. I think there's an excellent shot he heads toward the east coast. If so, that has a chance to impact the recruiting class. I have a great deal of confidence in Castiglione's ability to find a replacement --- the dude is pretty much a wizard, as far as I can tell. Still, transitions can be painful, as the Sampson to Capel move turned out to be, even if Capel worked out really well over a 3 year period.

I think OUE is talking about Austin Johnson and tholly is talking about Abrams. I agree with both assessments if that is the case.
