no problem....i didn't feel like doing any of my class work, so figured i would compare some stats instead! i also hope we pull this one out. i want to see the horns play well on the road. we need a repeat of last year in Norman!

yeah, great job, tott. OU's guards are much better than last year with Robinson playing much more under control and Hand giving them an outstanding 3pt threat. The addition of AG really helps us in the post. I like the depth the Horns have to use against the Paris twins. While everyone is raving about Hand (and she does deserve it), don't forget that Kat is shooting the ball even better from BTA. Both teams will have to understand that those two players are not to be left alone on the perimeter or they will make you pay by sinking a 3. Whoever is on Hand, and most likely it will be Kat to start, cannot drop off to help and leave Hand open. Either Brit or Carla a the start will have to control Robinson's penetration where she excels this season in either finishing or finding the open shooter.

Should be a hell of a game and I can't wait to watch it. BU is probably hoping that we punish OU physically before the Sooners go to Waco this coming Wednesday.

glad to see a post again babhorn!! OU is much more balanced with guard play this year. Hand and Robinson are very impressive, as is Stevenson coming off the bench. the starter that seems to be struggling the most right now is Thompson--so whoever guards her may have some opportunties to drop off and help. as you said, we can't help off of Hand.

OU's defensive weakness seems to be 3-point shooting. Colorado drained 10-18 from BTA in their game earlier this week...who could have expected that from CU, but still they had a lot of open looks. i hope more than anything that our shooters are on tomorrow, because i'm not sure that we can beat them inside.

the two big keys to this game are similar to what Coach G stressed before the Tenn game -- rebounding and assists.

Wow. I had to be out of town today and didn't get to catch up on things till now. What happened? I hope we had a really bad day......wouldn't want to see that we had a good day and that OU is just THAT good. I don't want to believe that at all!!! Planning on watching the DVR now................

Hmmmmm....let's see. We couldn't keep OU off the boards, we couldn't stop OU down low and we couldn't defend the 3...that about sums it up. Earnie and Erika combined for whopping 1 point, 1 rebound and 2 assists. We have some upper classmen who are not performing.

On the bright side...we do seem to have an inbounds play for under the basket that actually works.

I knew going into OU was going to be tough to get another victory there. We fought pretty hard the first half, except for leaving Courtney along a lot.At this point in the season. I am not really happy with the veterans play. I am OK with Kat having a off game. But some our veterans have to become consisted. We might have to start reward playing time to players that are really fighting hard to win. Some of their body language give you the attitude that they could care less if they win or lose.

Well we got a good ole' whuppin' yesterday and on national TV. How will we rebound? I have no clue. I'm not a coach by any means but let's shake up the starting line up. Gayle, Font and Kristen all play like they want to play. They play hard and they have that umph that I like. Yes they make mistakes here and there but they hustle and go to the basket. Let's put them in the starting line up and add Carla and Kat. Let everyone else sub in. I say it couldn't be any worse.

I know I"m talking crazy but I just don't get this team. They have mental lapses or whatever you want to call them that baffles me.

I totally agree with you " cynt" We must start playing the players that are giving a 100 percent on the court. I have always like the little things that Kristen Nash brings to the table.A.Fontenette is just a player. She will be special for Texas. But where did the veterans go too. They have disappeared for several games.

And don't play Erika. Seriously. What does she bring right now? She can't shoot threes and she too slow on defense. Let the freshman play.

Yall gone think i'm crazy for saying this, but oh well here it goes: I think the key to Erika Arriaran getting her shot back Is Kathleen Nash. Why you might ask? Well think about it for a second. When Erika comes in the game, teams know what a great shooter she is so they clamp down on her then she gets frustrated and rushes her shot to much because we don't set picks or run plays to get her open. So if Kathleen and Erika are on the court at the same time then that open things up more and teams will have to account for two 3point threats instead of one. And I for one think that Erika plays good defense and makes sweet passes.

Erika and Kat have played together before and will again. My take on Erika is that she is still in the process of getting her shot back after being out of competitive ball for 18 months. She will become more consistent although I don't know that we won't see her return completely to form until next season.

I agree that she has come back much improved on defense and that she does a lot more than just shoot. Her passing is outstanding and she hits the boards as hard as Kat does. Our best players had a horrible game at OU. The defense played by the Sooners was outstanding and our post players, with the exception of AG, don't match up well with the Paris twins. I was really proud of how hard Kristen played and how effective she was offensively when she was in. In case anyone didn't notice, everyone is going to lose some games. The Horns don't match up well with OU inside. .And going cold about five minutes into the second half really eliminated any chance of pulling out the upset.

Like they say, win or lose, the teams in the Big 12 need a short memory because another tough game is coming up in a few days.

I agree with you a little bit on the change up of the lineup. But I am not sure I would include Brittany in the starting lineup. It does not look like her focus is there. She has really disappear for us.I would go with Fonte, Gayle,Cort and both Nash Sisters. Make the veterans earn their playing time.
