OU awarded Final Four berth

The March Madness selection committee met last night and has awarded a Final Four spot to Oklahoma, announcing "OU lost to the University of Texas, therefore they should go either straight to the championship game, or to be fair to others, the Final Four without having to endure the tedious preliminary NCAA tournament games."
Sounds fair to me.

I can't believe what you are saying here. I guess I could see your point had we beaten them on a neutral court, but we beat them when they played a road game. Hand them the scissors and let everyone else play for 2nd.

Given the effort OU put on the floor without Griffin, I'd at least give them a pass on the Big 12 tourney and pencil them in to a regional championship game (Elite 8).

Their 25 wins, plus the outstanding performance of Blake so far, gets them an automatic birth in a game to get to the Final Four, without proving anything else.

I say they sit out the rest of of the season and get an auto-matic win for the first 3 NCAA March Madness games, just on how good they looked getting where they are today.

and when Griffin was playing he was in the games at the very end even though they were blowing teams out...they deserve to be in the Final 4.
