I'm too lazy to look this up, but were there any other Top 10 teams from '07 that had fewer players taken in the first 2 or 3 rounds than Texas? How about top 15? If not, then maybe this guy -- Mack Brown -- can coach him some football.

This guy I know has speculated that maybe having a lot of NFL talent isn't necessary to win 10 games each season when you play a schedule like Texas'.

Well, out of the Big 12 alone, Missouri has 2, Kansas has 4, and Oklahoma has 3. So I guess based on your reasoning Mack Brown is a lesser coach than all 3 of them? Someone else should look up the other conferences...

Okam was fosho a first round talent....

next year Orakpo, Dockery, Lewis, and maybe Cosby and Palmer will be the only seniors drafted.

juniors if they come out: Kindle, Houston, McCoy, Beasly, Muckelroy, and Norton.

Melton may get drafted. His measurables will likely be outstanding. If he has a solid year at DE, I'd guess somebody will give him a shot.

Wow... The OP calls Mack Brown a good coach and people jump all over him.

I think it's a valid point. We didn't have the most elite talent in the draft, but still managed to finish in the top 10. Good job, Mack.
