OSU Hotels

Due to the late confirmation (today) of getting OSU tickets, I find that there are no hotels in Stillwater, OK. Any suggestions from people going? Drive back to OKC?

The thing to do is stay between OKC and the Stillwater exit on IH-35, but I can't remember exactly where the nearest motels are. You can drive in to Stillwater easily from there, and have time to visit Eskimo Joe's and tailgate.

Try the Holiday Inn Express in Guthrie. It is about 30 minutes from Stillwater on I-35 and is a nice hotel. Have stayed there several times.

Or, if you don't mind driving 12 miles N of Exit 174 (Stillwater) on I-35, Perry has several to choose from.

Try Guthrie, OK. At exit 157, there is a Holiday Inn Express and a Sleep Inn. From there you are 35 to 40 minutes from Stillwater.

There is an decent BBQ place (by Oklahoma standards) in Guthrie on the west side of I35. I recommend staying in name brand hotels in the small towns on I35 north of OKC. There should be some rooms available.

All the hotels are full from Edmond to Perry. ESPN has taken almost every room in Stillwater so we had to look elsewhere. Cushing, about 30 miles away, has a new Executive Inn. You may try calling last minute as hotel rooms open up due to cancellations but I wouldn't count on any of them being in Stillwater. Otherwise, it's OKC or Tulsa.
