OS X and Importing Video Q

I want to import some various clips of movies (legally might I add) from dvd in order to insert into a presentation. Do I need something like Dazzle which I will have to plug in to the dvd player, then firewire to my machine, or is there a program that will do it? Thanks. PM me if you have solution for me, otherwise just post.

mactheripper will allow you to pull audio and video from dvds. Are you using iDVD or iMovie or something like that to edit, quicktime, or final cut?
