Just me and the wife are going there in two weeks just for the weekend. Any good restaurants or bars downtown? Is there a specific area we need to concentrate on?

it is tourism hell. there is a ripley's believe it or not restaurant.

that is all that really needs to be said.

I was afraid of that. My wife is going there for a conference so we got a free hotel room and I have SWA rewards to burn so free flight. We are only there for two nights so I figured there were at least 2 decent restaurants or one decent bar. I figured there would be something non Disney related there.

If you are staying around Disney World, Citrico's at the Grand Floridian is excellent, and the price is decent for the quality.

Gotta throw Seasons 52 into the mix. Love it. Located off of sandlake.

seasons 52 is good, about 20 min drive south from downtown. i would recommend "ravenous pig" in winter park. it's a new gastropub, like spotted pig in NYC, and it's allsome. about a 15 min drive north of downtown. for sushi, try amura, very good. there is one downtown.

edit: (on ravenous pig) the chef/owners both graduated from the culinary institute of NY, so they know what they are doing and your doctor friend may not know about this place since it is pretty new and is a word of mouth type place

Thanks a lot everyone. I am not excited about going anymore. just kidding, we'll probably be going out with doctor friends of hers and going where they want to go anyways. I just wanted to see if there was any can't miss suggestions from hornfans.
