Oregon St. v UConn

26-17 at end of first quarter. OSU hanging tough. UConn shooting 71%, hard to contain that percentage.

26-47 at halftime. UConn shooting 60% and OSU 38%. UConn has only 3 turnovers, with OSU having 12. OSU beginning to look harried. UConn playing really good defense, getting some steals and creating turnovers.

Why did the OSU coaches decide to leave Tuck open??? You can't leave any of the Uconn players open. Second half, they guard her, and Stewie goes off.

You are so right, Tuck is on fire. Stewart only has 2 points so kudos to OSU for keeping her under wraps, but then she does have 2 fouls.

The little bit of the 2nd quarter I saw suggests OSU is already in panic mode, jacking up threes far too early in the shot clock.

The game was inside of a ten point margin when I tuned in, but quickly got out of hand. I'm calling it by 35 or more before all is said and done...

So far Texas is the only team that has actually played UCONN well. Stewart, Tuck, Jefferson - 55pt. Atkins, Higgs, McCarty - 53pts. The game was loss in the role player. If Boyette gave 10pts and the others chipped in, this could of been a much closer game or even the upset of the century. They made UCONN run offense and played excellent transition defense which has not happened in this game. Hind-sight is 20/20. Next year should be interesting.

UConn bench looks about like any other team. They're reallllly going to miss those seniors.

Very proud of how our girls played them. I think we were 6th closest team that played them. Norte Dame played them better than anybody. Only lost by 10. I think FSU and Maryland played close too.

True. ND and MD had production from everyone and that made the game pretty close. But as far as the tourney UCONN has been lights out. They are one of my favorite team to watch. The execution is so crisp.

Once you take Collier and/or Williams off the bench next season, they will be a very thin team. Gotta think Daingerfield, by far their best recruit, takes over at PG.

UCONN loses at least 2-3 games next season. I won't predict which ones but I certainly hope one of them is at Mohegan Sun arena. :hookem:

I think it also helped that Texas played UConn last year. If Syracuse wins they could give Uconn a game because their coach and some of the players are used to playing against them. Uconn has good recruits coming in next year, but I think Texas will beat them.

UConn definitely becomes more mortal next season, but non-conference home games (more or less) against Baylor and Texas, and perhaps South Carolina work in their favor; they probably go on the road to play Stanford and Notre Dame. The thing is, even if UConn loses a couple of those games, come tourney time, they still get sent to the Bridgeport regional (yes, hosting again); even as #2 seed

Wish I knew when that game was scheduled, I'd like to take a gambling trip next fall :smokin:
