So how do you get special boxes with company logos?

this is my newest assignment as intern at the pump distributor, to find out how to do it and how much it costs... any ideas?

A company I used to work for just bought blank boxes and had a bunch of stickers made of our logo varying sizes, from something like 16" x 12" down to something really small, like 1" x 1.5" or smaller (or whatever was appropriate for our company logo, but those numbers are close).

The boxes were cheap, and the stickers could pull extra duty for ID'ing equipment, marking folders or notebooks, handing out at shows, etc, etc.

ya we do that now, but the boss wants to upgrade because he thinks it will look more professional. shrug. i guess it will, just not sure on the price, but thanks i think i might of found what i was looking for.

It is expensive to do in small quantities. Basically it costs almost as much to do 500 as 10,000. Huge price breaks for volume. It is best to have the graphics work set before using the box company although most good box companies can do it for you for a fee. Try to match colors as best as possible within the constraints of the box manufacturer. Most don't have the capability to exactly match a PMS color on a cardboard box. So a big box makes it difficult to match colors. On smaller boxes they print on a sticker that wraps around the box. A lot of that issue depends on the type of boxes you require, however. You should do some scouting around to find out who people recommend locally. If you are talking about big boxes, it gets expensive shipping them around the country (And by expensive, I mean it starts cutting into your margins).

There are quite a few box mfrs in every large city. If you're in Austin, contact Western Industries. They can do large jobs or small jobs better than anyone I've found. They can also design custom packaging for whatever goes in the box. They also have a couple of other locations you can find on their web site.
