Ordered my G1 phone last night.

Any other T-Mobile subscribers order yours yet, will you? I am stoked about it. I look forward to seeing all the stuff in the Android Network. There will be so much available. I love the stand by time for the battery. Unless it is a typo it is about a week.

Now I need to get a case for it or something to protect it. I am pretty gentle on phones but this one I will be overly careful with which means I will be dropping it a bunch.

They say that early sales are limited to whenever they run out of a certain number but they don't say what that number is. Austin is a 3G metro area so that will be cool.

I think there is a light sabre that pops out for us to do battle with Iphone users when the need arises. Just remember to never, ever sabre a baby.

I want it. But I decided not to order it for the key reason that I do not live in an area covered by T-Mo 3G. Don't want to pay for a data plan and crawl at below modem speeds on the EDGE network.

I'll be out of grad school in about 6 months. Will get it when I move.

But yeah the phone is the bomb.

I'm 15 months into a 2-year contract so I'm getting the 299 price instead of 179. I'll just wait until I qualify for the full upgrade price to get it.

The 179 price made it hard to pass on. All in all I am only spending 20 bucks a month more for the service upgrade. 3 weeks and then I can get frustrated as I try to figure it out. I will be hitting up the help pages, I assume.

For you that have iPhones, how much of a transition did it take for you to get proficient with it or was it pretty straight forward and make sense?

Ordered mine as well...

Until then I will continue on with "The Dinosaur"!

You will get a workout and have a lethal weapon with you at all times in case you run across ogres, Samurai or Sooners. Don't knock the Dinosaur. They almost charged me large or bulk item shipping.
