Opening the exterior Time Warner box

We're going to be doing some remodeling and rather than wait to get on these guys' schedule and paying for a service call, I want to relocate their box myself. This is the plastic box outdoors that hides the coax cable splices and entry point into the exterior of your house. You used to be able to open this thing with a funky cable termination tool, but the one I have won't do it. I only need to move it about 3 feet over, but I just can't bring myself to pay these jokers to do that for me...

So, is your post a commentary, question or statement?

you can do it yourself. I never needed a special tool to open it. Just a screwdriver and a ratchet

I tore mine open when I needed to add a splitter. TW has been out here 3-4 times since then and never said a word about it.

You need one of these:

It's an f-type connector wrench & you can find them @ Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. They're like $20 which is stupidly expensive but I bought one anyway. To make you feel like you're getting your money's worth you can then go & tighten all of your coax connections @ the wall plate, cable box, TVs, etc.
