Ontario to RoseBowl

We arrive at the Ontario airport around 10:00 AM on gameday. We have a car reserved and are trying to figure out the best way to get from there to the game. I had read about riding the rail and then walking. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Where are you staying?

Your best bet may be driving to LA Union Station and taking Gold Line to pasadena.

If you have a rental car, you might as well just drive directly to the Rose Bowl from the Ontario airport.

You'll get to the Rose Bowl within an hour of when you leave the airport.

You can just park in the golf course lot around the Rose Bowl.

No fuss, other than the traffic jam getting out of the lot after the game.

But if you want the flexibility to hang around the area after the game, the Gold Line will be your best bet.

This is what we did in 2006. Landed at Ontario around 9:30 am. Got rental car and drove to the Sierra Madre Villa rail station on the Gold line. Parked the car for free and rode the rail to the closest station to the Rose Bowl, i.e. Memorial Park. From there you can take a bus to the Rose Bowl or it's not that bad of a walk. We chose to walk it with the crowds and it was fun. After the game we did the same thing but in reverse in order to catch a 12:30 am flight.

We did it this way rather than drive to the Rose Bowl because we did not want to have to worry about traffic and parking, especially after the game when we knew we'd be tight on time. I highly recommend this route.
