Ontario airport to Pasadena

Anybody have any recommendations on the best way to get from Ontario airport to my hotel in Pasadena? I'm the only person in my 4-person group who's flying into Ontario rather than LAX (which is where our rental car will be picked up). I'm also getting there much earlier in the day, so waiting around for them to pick me up is not a great idea.

Cab fare will be ~ $120 before tip.

Suggestions?

Depending on what time of day you are arriving, cab it a couple miles to the Rancho Cucamonga or E. Ontario Metrolink stations, take train to LA Union Station, and Gold Line to Pasadena. It's about $9 for the Metrolink and another $1-2 for the Gold Line.

Although I'm sure you can catch a "super shuttle" van to LAX and wait for your party there.
