Let that soak in. With all our talent and size, we're the worst offense team in the tournament.

Hampton scored 56 against KY.
TX Southern scored 72 against AZ.
NM St scored 56 against KS.
Belmont scored 67 against Virginia.
Lafayette scored 53 against Nova.
Harvard scored 64 against NC.

Meanwhile against Butler, who didn't have a player bigger than 5 of our players, we could only manage 48.

Our offense (game plan) is pathetic.

I feel like football, basketball and baseball all need new offensive coordinators. :smile1: (Though offense seems to be picking up in baseball and our problem is more we need a closer.)

for some reason Texas ran clock and shot near the end of the shot clock a lot during the game. Barnes mentioned at halftime that he wanted Texas to speed the game up in the second half.

Butler played solid D. They sent two guys to the the top of the key area to stop penetrations on transition after Butler had missed a shot. Taylor would get near the two guys then pull it out leaving the game a much more half court oriented type.

For a supposed lottery pick, Myles, there was not a single time I thought a great move or even a decent move originated from him the whole game. When he did shoot it was rushed or even blocked. He had numerous bad fouls and head scratching turnovers. In a slow game even a few extra turnovers or bad fouls become more pronounced.

Taylor's ball control and game management was poor overall as well. Critical turnover near the end was critical as were the double dribble pair of TO's near the start of the game.

Barnes can't be faulted for double dribbles. Nor a lottery pick that can't buy a bucket. The expectations were that the lottery pick would come in and dominate and he didn't. That is the story of the year. From December on he played very average.(if you factor in the blocks it raises a sub par overall game to average in my opinion)

Then the Taylor and Holmes injuries, well that didn't help but you have to be deep enough to withstand it.
