I swear that credit card offers in the mail have dwindled 80%. For the first time in forever, I did not get one this week. There were weeks when I was getting 20 of them.

that's true. all those refi letters have stopped for some strange reason.

And the TV ads to refinance the house. Especially the really galling one showing the guy approving every single loan application......

I had not given it any thought but you are right. I still get a couple of Military refi type things but even those are less than before. And haha, no more credit card crap.

I was actually wondering if this would happen when American Express started to close accounts and starting paying attention to the number of offers we received. They have dwindled from at least 1 a day (per person) to practically nothing.

Another upside, the dollar keeps gaining on the Euro, the Pound and other currencies. Good if you have a couple of extra $ to travel to another country.
