College World Series fans longing to get one last look at Rosenblatt Stadium this year won't have to scale fences or sneak around in the dark of night.

CURTAIN CALL FOR ROSENBLATT
Henry Doorly Zoo officials will open Rosenblatt Stadium to visitors this weekend.

Fans hoping for one last look can visit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Monday, June 18.

Visitors are welcome to walk on the field, play catch and take photographs.

Admission is free, and no reservation is needed.
That's what some fans did a year ago, when the CWS moved from Rosenblatt, its home from 1950 to 2010, to Omaha's new downtown stadium. The stealth adventures of some fans led to a decision by the Omaha Zoo Foundation, which now owns the stadium, to open the iconic landmark one last time for five days beginning Thursday.
Demolition of the stadium will begin in July....................

Way to go, Clueless ... now I'm gonna cry and ruin my mascara ...

I'll never forget the feeling I got when I set foot in Rosenblatt for the first time, way back in 1981. I felt like I'd reached mecca for baseball fans, and every time I've been there since, I've always gotten that same tingle.

I don't care how may amenities the new ballyard has, it will NEVER have the soul of Rosenblatt Stadium.

M first visit was 2003 and it was an experience I will never forget. I managed to get up there again in 04 and 05 and can say that with the exception of the 06 Rose Bowl that atmosphere is best sports atmosphere I have ever been around (by far beating the Final Four). I dont see how the new stadium can equal what the Blatt had.

Thanks, hot links for the post, but gawd, this post is depressing and I wish I was in Omaha.

Last year, I was there. It most certainly was different that Rosenblatt. It was a new era. We need to embrace it 'cause WE WILL BE BACK!
