we should observe:

167 suicides among Army National Guard and Reserve troops in 2011

122 soldiers have died in Afghanistan this year alone

One in ten of the nation's 12.5 million non elderly veterans don't have health insurance and aren't using the VA health care system

That there are 1.3 million uninsured veterans and if the Affordable Health Care Act survives its Supreme Court challenge, it will move these people for the first time into a system of exchanges and insurance that will provide a federal system of access for all.

Why don't we just stop for a moment and remember the sacrifice of those who have, over the years, given thier lives to protect the freedom we enjoy as Americans.

I actually thought that sat had really posted a tribute to all the millions who gave their lives for their and our country.
How sad I was wrong

Lost a brother in Iraq.He was 37 years old with two kids. He was in the Army defending jackasses like Satchel.

New low for posts, but I am sure you have tomorrow.

I read this post and it reminded me of the liberal hippies spitting on troops coming home from Vietnam. The people may be different by the idealogue is the same.

All veterans lost, still with us, and future should be remembered on this day of all days. To even try to make a political point for a day like Memorial Day is showing your backside. Even the POTUS was able to temper down his politcal views for the day. Even with his mistakes in facts in his speech but hey, whose counting, it happens.
