On getting ticks

My wife got a tick this morning near the baby factory. It was simple to remove with finger nail polish remover and a cotton swab.

As I was in the kitchen corraling the critter in a cup for any future referenece, the wife, still flustered somewhat, asks with that female intuition, "Do they come in pairs?" I had a good laugh...

Baby factory, nail polish remover, future reference? So puzzling to me.

Got some ticks about a month ago and still have some itchy red marks. Hope I don't have the Lyme disease.

when i was 10 or 11 at summer camp my swim trunks fell off the line overnight. i threw those things on without checking and, being a kid at summer camp, didn't change out of them for the rest of the day. ticks on the sack. don't recall if it was 2 or 3 but there were a few. freaked me the f out and required some delicate work with a needle to make sure i was good to go. still gives me chills thinking about it.

Tip from an old camper... if you are out in the bush and don't have access to nail polish, you can light a match, blow it out and then touch the tick until it let's go.

I'm a fairly old guy and I've just pulled ticks off me my entire life. I've always read about how you are supposed to do it, but I only done it the caveman way and I've never had a problem. But ignore me. don't want to lead anyone down the wrong trail.
