Olympic Updates (SPOILER WARNING!)

I put the warning here for those that don't like to know results until shown on tv so you may not want to be reading farther if knowing things will spoil it for you.

The USA hung on in women's water polo to reach the finals against the Netherlands for the gold. It was a close 9 to 8 score. The USA had a fourth quarter lead in the fourth quarter but Australia tied it up then the USA scored one more goal to hang on. I would have hated to have lost to Australia after what that Australian Judge did to us in the gymnastics.

Our women's soccer team fought back to beat Japan 2 - 0 and now plays Brazil for the gold medal. No matter what happens theyhave exceeded expectations when one takes in the Abby Wamback injury. Of course Brazil has to be big favorites but it would be great if we could pull it off but even if not it has been a successful olympics for this team. Go USA!

Well with our injuries they might be but I'm pretty sure before our injuries we were the favorites in women's soccer and two I'm pretty sure we beat Japan 4-2.

In Olympic women's gymnastic Natastia Liukin won the all round comptition and Shawn Johnson last night won the gold in the beam competition. Their teammates got the silver. It may be my imagination but I don't think Natastia was as happy for Shawn winning the gold as Shawn was happy for Nastastia winning her gold. Probably just my imagnination I am sure.

I think Nastia knows that Shawn will now get most of the endorsements.

I wish we could put up a fourth quarter lead in the first quarter for a change. To do this would require much more focusness, I think.
