Living in the Caribbean we are getting to watch the swimming live and Lochte just blew out the field to get the gold but the surprise was Phelps who followed up a poor morning with a mediocre evening and slipped to fourth out of the medals. First of hopefully many golds for US swim team.

I watched Phelps in his morning race. He just didn't look like Michael Phelps. Kind of sluggish. Almost like he was going through the motions at times.

Was he eating a lot of Taco Bell, Doritos and cake frosting before the match?

Can't say I'm that surprised, although I did expect him to medal.

I hope Phelps does better in the future events. He needs three medals to have the total record. He has six more chances.
