Ole Miss ticket cutoffs

Anyone have any idea of what LHF ticket cutoffs might be for Ole Miss? I'm a minimum $150 donor, but considering increasing to get tickets for the game. Can I increase for one year only and go back to $150 next year? If I do increase, do I have to do it by the March 1st deadline?

If you increase your LHF donation one year you can always and at any future year contribute your original, lower LHF amount and you will keep your seating.

If you look at the break down of contributions on the LHF site, it shows two columns for giving. In my case, I give one time to maintain my home seats and give another donation later to get better OU seats and parking.

Yes, you can. In fact, you can request the difference refunded back to you in the event that your increase misses the cutoff for that game provided that you did not receive any other benefits from the monies such as OU tickets or other away game tickets. Also, be sure that you do not request any home game seat changes as that would make this donation amount your new annual base requirement.

It is best and very easy to accomplish this by speaking to LHF offices.

I will guess that the Ole Miss game minimum donation is going to be in the $3-4,000/year range. Texas only gets 4000 tickets, parents, band, administrators, staff leaves about 3000 tickets for Longhorn fans. This is the marquee away game this year.

Krayon...Just talked to someone at LHF about "conditional" contibutions. This person said he never heard of such a thing. He said if you order tickets for Ole Miss and don't get them, they refund the price of the tickets. Should I try talking to someone else because I sure like the idea of "conditional"???

Johnny,
I would definitely talk to someone else. I did this several years back trying to get OU tickets before it expanded. I got full credit for my donation as well as the price of the tickets. The main condition is whether or not you received any other benefit based on the increased amount, i.e. if that amount was used to determine your seat location for the OU game then you can not get it back. As I am typing this, it just occurred to me that parking at home games is now determined by your donation level for that year. That was not the case when I received credit for my increased donation after I failed to make the cut for the OU game. The fact that parking areas are now broken down into so many more levels than they previously were probably renders this kind of consideration from the LHF impossible.

Sorry for misleading you.

OP: check with the LHF. I wanted good OU and Bowl tickets in the past and contributed a lot more than the annual 150 in those seasons. The catch was, as long you don't ask for better seating or a switch in your seating, then you not locked to the higher amount. If you do, then you are locked. That may have changed though.

Season ticket seats are tied to the original LHF donation amount you gave at the time you purchased the seats. You can increase your donation at any time and later drop back down to the original amount and still retain those seats.

Taps is correct. You can fluctuate your LF donation as long as you don't change your seats.

And my guess is the Ole Miss cutoff is going to be $5000+.

I live in Memphis these days and am working my Ole Miss peeps hard for tickets already.

Can't wait to watch my team play live. It is a rare treat these days.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I've been to several of the big road games without getting tickets from the official Texas alotment in the past... @Ohio State, Rose Bowl vs USC and Alabama. As long as you're willing to shell out a few hundred bucks, tickets are ALWAYS available. I'll just hold out until closer to the game. See you at Ole Miss!
