Old COlor Photos of Nazi Germany

I admit to being amazed at seeing the venerable VW Beetle in some of those photos. Silly me ... I thought it debuted in the 60s. Who knew it came about in the 30s?

Those photos are like a god-awful car accident. They are horrible, yet I can't tear myself away. The true face of evil ...

Wasn't expecting this to be a link to russian site. Cool pictures (maybe that isn't the appropriate word).

The Nazis knew how to build order and 'togetherness' via rallies and graphic display.

Great photos. So many truly believing they are right only to be ultimately led well astray.

The two biggest film industries in the world back in the '30s were the American one (mainly Hollywood) and the German one (Berlin).

WWII was as much a propaganda war as it was on the battlefield. If there was the news coverage then that there is now, things would have been a lot different... and shorter.

PS- My Russian is rusty (ok, it doesn't exist), so I have no ideas what the comments were after the photos. Maybe they were expressing their shock at the VW Bug being around back then as well as agreeing that the Nazis like big rallies.

The fourth picture from the end. Hitler and four men to his right in brown and three others to his left in almost pale pink. Hitler had every one of those men murdered between June 30 and July 2, 1934. That's Ernst Röhm immediately to his right.

Hmmm.

Adolf the Great.com.

Nazi Gassings .com.

The Nazi machine seems to be currently flagging where graphics are concerned.
