I grew up down the street, and remember when it was just a field where dirt bikers raced around.

Bagged groceries there when it was a Skaggs Albertson's, and then Skaggs Alpha Beta.

That was many, many moons ago.

Skaggs Alpha Beta had the good gummy bears when the only other place in town that had them was the Phar-Mor near Anderson Mill.

Skaags Alpha Beta was the first 24 Hour grocery store that I can remember. It was a huge deal.
