Has any one heard that Texas is trying to buy out of this game? A well-connected friend in Oxford says he heard some rumblings. Any truth to it? I am looking forward to the grove next year.

I hope that's not true. I've been eyeing this game for the past 3-4 years. Living in Nashville, I knew that would be a great game to attend and not a bad drive.

I sure as hell hope not. That's the only decent non-conference game we have in 2012...and that's assuming Ole Miss doesn't suck next year.

The only reason I can think that Texas might be trying to buy out of this game is to exchange if for another SEC game against aggy. If that's the case, I expect aggy should be paying the buyout cost.

No game with aggy. Probably would be Texas wants to distance themselves from anything SEC related.

I live in MS..no one has ever said anything remotely along those lines. I work with a ton of OLE MISS guys. In fact, they have all commented through their alumni org..a bunch of season tickets being mailed to Texas area codes..by the way I bought mine this year to be on list for next year.
