Oklahoma vs Iowa State

State with a backup QB is giving the Sooners all they handle. In just one quarter Oklahoma defense looks vulnerable. I think it is a matter of holding the OK offense. Murry has had too much time to look for receivers.

Notice the comment that NFL coaches are calling Lincoln Riley about his offense. Like no other team I know of, their receivers get open in a lot of space. Made Baker look great and now is doing the same for Kyler.
This does not happen for Texas quarterbacks. This is a big deal.

It helps when the QB routinely gets 5+ seconds to stand in the middle of the pocket without the slightest bit of pressure.

Well so much for the exciting first quarter. No pass rush is going to be a killer.
Or should I say the O line is not allowing a pass rush?

I don’t know if you guys caught it, but apparently Murry has signed a professional baseball contract. You think that the media and the announcers would let people know about this

Each game is independent of every other game, but watching this game the thought occurred that it is looking less and less likely that Herman’s Horns get more than 4 wins. Really, really hope that is not the case and TH finds some magic pixie dust

Looks like more of same. Everyone fawns over OU to start year and they still have vulnerable defenses and a team that can be beat either by outscoring or a stout D shows up. Been this way for years. I expect a similar game this year in the Cotton Bowl as last years.

And they only get a FG out of it because of how poorly they use the wildcat. What's the point of sending the WR on motion and faking a jet sweep if you never actually hand it off to him? The fake doesn't fool anybody.

Wondering how many times OK can get away with blocks in the back. I have seen three flagrant ones on this drive. Finally one called.

Iowa State QB pressured into throwing to defenders on consecutive plays. OU drops the first one, intercepts the second. Game over.

I had this very same thought. OU seems to have a very wide “gray” area when it comes to holding, illegal blocks and blocking down field that other teams don’t, especially the Horns.

It's hard to get a pass rush when you have to keep a spy on Murry. He's so friggin quick. I'm going to hire a guide and fish the day of the OU game. No way I'm watching that slaughter. Have I said we suck. Because after seeing the Maryland score, we suck. Herman built a reputation on winning games he shouldn't. Well, it's time to do just that.
