I've spent the last hour or so trying to find any confirmation about this possible suspension and can't even find a mention. This can't possibly be for slamming the ball and getting a technical in the fracas against Baylor, can it?
What he did in the Baylor game was a pretty weak reason to get a suspension.
He did lay on top of Shepherd for a good long while, which is what precipitated the elbow from Shepherd to Griffin's face in the first place, but when Griffin made moves like he was going to pummel Shepherd in retaliation after he got up, he never actually took a swing or anything before the two were separated.
If Shepherd is suspended for a game, maybe Baylor officials made enough noise to get Griffin suspended for a game, too.
Anyway, thanks for passing it along. I'm interested to see if anything transpires.
shepherd was, which will hurt the bears against ksu. they aren't that deep in the post, and they already will have their hands full with a talented wildcat squad.
