I ate at a decent pub in that area. Very typical pub grub. I don't recall seeing much that was nicer, but they probably have at least one "upscale" restaurant. ("Upscale" == put mullet in ponytail.) Most of it was chain restaurants like Hooter's and maybe a local Mexican joint.
IIRC, there's an "upscale" steakhouse in Bricktown. There's also a Cajun place down by the riverwalk area that has white tablecloths. Other than that, what JJ said -- lots of chains, and a Toby Keith restaurant.
there isn't much besides chains, or things that function like chains (mickey mantles/toby keith's), in bricktown. don't go to chelino's. the standard for mexican food deteriorates quckly as you move north and chilino's is proof of that.
there are a couple of places though.....
Soleil - inside the Colcord hotel (seafood/find dining)
Hideaway Pizza - pretty damn good pizza, and an OK original
Tapwerks - good drinking establishment
Nonnas - nice restaurant (not fine dining, but nice). haven't been there... but hear good things.
There are several sports bars. Coaches (original in Norman), bricktown brewery,
If you care to venture outside of Bricktown I would suggest the following... all three are "secrets of the locals".
Charlie Newton's (family style, wondeful everything)
Nomad on 63rd (Italian, pizza, steaks. Hole in the wall. Steaks are above average, but everything else is great IMO)
Chaucer's (variety... from quail to hamburgers... nice place)
All three are great and only a couple (chaucer's) or a few miles (like 4 ) north of downtown.
Cuisine in OK leaves much to be desired but two choices I can certianly vouch for are Hideway Pizza(best pizza I've ever had, my favorite pie is ironicly "the boz") and old germany in choctaw.
