Ok then...

How much of this nonsense will be infecting the radio play-by-play? I have not heard anything about Week 1 games elsewhere insofar as radio coverage. Would be good if the announcers for THAT coverage are permitted to stick to sports...

I'm just flat out not going to watch or listen to a team and coach that doesn't have the balls to correct these POS players who are saying they will do this. Their asses, at a minimum, should be benched. As much as I always want Texas to win, that would show some balls. I'm not a hypocrite. I won't complain about all of this and then tune in, anyway.

Oh, what a great crying, moaning and gnashing of teeth.
Let's play ball.
I'm ready.
Sorry so many of you will miss it. ;)
Moon....Im in a good mood. ready for some football, and tired of talking about all this crap.....but I gotta call you out man...
You obviously are annoyed by anyone on here who has a problem or takes issue with anything or anyone that you approve of, but yet are always consistently first to express your own disapproval or angst when you have an issue with someone or something.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
If you are going to be so assertive and so aggressive in your judgement and expression of what you seek to defend, please give others the same right and quit trying to patronize anyone who expresses an opposing sentiment.
...especially in your typical passive-aggressive manner.
Be passionate if you want.....but there are alot of good Americans...decent people worthy of respect....on here who have a right and are well-justified at expressing their own frustrations and disapproval.
Don't see how somehow only those casting shadows on our ways or country and protesting this and that are the ones who deserve respect and your defense. It must go both ways and guess what we all have a voice, too... whether you like it or not. If you like the underdog, the "maligned" or whatever, and that's just your thing...stay tuned....You may be switching sides soon.

I thought my comment was pretty clear and not passive at all.
Those were my feelings.
Short and sweet.

4th,

Unless they have made changes from years past, the jumbotron cannot be heard in the Westside club. (Sorry I can't keep track of what they call these things.) They do pipe in Craig Way's broadcast in delay, so you're watching second down, listening to first down.

All the money in that room can't see or hear the ads on the jumbotron.

I'm sure it'd be absolutely hilarious to you if the exact same thing occurred with, say, the 2nd Amendment and Pro-life causes plastered all over the sports you love.

Interesting. Seems to imply that one can't stand for anti-racism AND gun rights or anti-abortion causes.

To me this is a straw man argument. There is not a country on earth that isn’t racist in some fashion or have racist individuals, and there is not an ethnic group that doesn’t have a racist component. Perfection doesn’t exist, and therein lies the excuse to leverage the argument into perpetuity.

(I know. Take it to the West Mall.)

You're correct that Sloth employed the straw man. Antiracist = people who are more likely to be pro- gun control and pro-choice = they wouldn't like the opposite of these being touted in athletic events.

You, on the other hand, employ the nirvana fallacy. Antiracist = no perfect solution to racism = don't bother trying.

I don't believe my point was a straw man at all. IMO, there is nothing wrong about people on the right being upset by the promotion of left wing causes in sports. I believe the same to be true in the inverse.
From what I recall from speech class at UT, a straw man would be the stance in which I assign an extreme or exaggerated view of the stance from another, and apply my own logic to it. From what I know of Moon, he/she has a left-wing outlook on things and is, at least, active enough politically to frequently promote or defend his/her arguments. One with enough passion to take on the "group" on Hornfans would, I think, not be ok with certain - mostly right-wing causes - being plastered across helmets.
Perhaps I'm wrong.

Wonder if they’ll include a comment about the absence of fathers in black families, the disproportionate number of black abortions and the epidemic of black on black intercity crime. Oh wait. That’s not Woke and further, Herbie wouldn’t approve.

Never mind.
Duke if it matters.....I'am crying.

BLM is racist. So you are supporting racism by supporting the woke team members supporting BLM.

That is actually true, not only with BLM but with many advocates of the separation movement prevalent with those making issue of what they claim as systemic racism. They actually promote reverse racism and justify their actions by creating this facade of racism where it does not exist. Killing by cops of criminals who resist arrest has noting to do with racism. Only fools can support BLM.
