OK, no trial. Straight to the needle

Yeah, I was going to post this the other day... but I didn't feel up to it.. After reading what this POS did...

Really, I don't understand how this can be humanly possible...

I'm not a fan of the death penalty. Not necessarily because I think it's too harsh, though. I think in some cases, it's too easy on the POS that commits the crime.

I know we can't stomp this guy to death, but how about a 3 x 6 cell with a slit for light, and no contact with another human for the rest of his life. Food delivered under the door, and a bowl for his daily waste. Nobody to talk to, no visits allowed, and the only way he could voluntarily end his life would be to stop eating - which would be a really slow and painful way to go.

Every few years there is somebody who makes me think that the Spanish Inqusition got it right. This guy makes that list.

I have to agree with abqhornfan. Eternal damnation notwithstanding, there's worse punishment than just sticking a needle in someone's arm and putting them to sleep permanently.

I hear child killers are rather frowned upon in prison.

As sad as this sounds to say, that little boy might be better off now. The kind of parent that would kill their own child would probably have made that child's life miserable.

I support the small, bare cell for this dude.

Guys, guys...this is tailor made for my favorite line from "Silverado"

"We'll give you a fair trial followed by a first-class hanging"

So, society should foot the bill for him to live another 50-60 years, and risk having some bleeding-heart parole board releasing him sometime down the line?

Man, this world is screwed up when there are people who don't think this guy should go directly to death without passing go.

Where's Call and McRae when you need them?

"Where's he going?"

"To find a tree to hang you from, son."

To be honest we can't and won't stomp the guy to death... but other people in prison will. This guy will die a slow painful death if he EVER goes into general population. Getting the needle would be merciful compared to what the guy will get on the inside.

Murder's bad.

I, personally, am against murder. Particularly of the filicide variety.

Really, people shouldn't do it.

the only problem with putting him in permanent isolation is he will go bonkers and then we pay for his psych and meds.
" accidently" putting him in the general population is a good workable idea.

mac
umm you might have a point but isn't the state charged with creating a safe environment for the prisoners?
I would be surpsied if a state can actually isolate somone permanently. wouldn't that constitute cruel and unusuaL?

He is a criminal and I don't see why they wouldn't put him in general population. He is not a threat to himself it seems and he hasn't done anything on the inside to warrent solitary. He should get a cell with some other criminal, and what happens happens.

and logically, when someone says two things are different, it is worthless to point out one singular similarity to refute that assertion.

Responses in this thread are kind of sickening. Why don't we throw out due process and put in more cruel and unusual punishment? Who is being un-American now?

Don't you know? You only get a fair trial, presumption of innocence, and protection from cruel and unusual punishment if you aren't a child molestor/baby murder/serial rapist/etc.

Otherwise, the Constitution and the supposed high ground of others doesn't apply to you.

cruel and unusual punishment applies to human beings. Since it is arguable that this man is not human, rather a stain upon all of humanity, i don't care what happens to him. i believe it costs approximately 35 k to execute a man by lethal injection which is way too much money. simply go to a store and buy a rope, tie one end around his neck and the other to the back of a truck. drive him around for about a mile or so. if he is still alive, drive up next to a tree and hang him.
